Darren (DAM) is a Special Effects Engineer residing in New Zealand and specializing in both Physical and Digital Effects for Film and Television.
He is known for his work on District 9 (2009), Avatar: The Way of Water (2022), Moana (2016) and Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens (2015). He also provides consultation to theme parks and themed entertainment installations worldwide.
A graduate from the Joe Blasco’s School of Makeup, Darren has worked in theme parks, film studios on set and for location based entertainment installations for the last 25 years. He has lived in New Zealand since 2006, where he has worked both as a freelance Creative Director and Special Effects Engineer.
