This image is began as a simple colour exercise until I noticed the rock formations I was building in the background for some reason reminded me of Darth Vader would dwell in.  I'm, not sure why but as is often the case, the image of an autumn scene quickly became another Star Wars influenced image with subtle Ralph Ralph McQuarrie influences and a hint of Mary Blair.   The entire image was done in Procreate with custom created brushes made to recreate the autumn leaves and foliage. The intension is to print this as a paper cut out leaving Vader on a separate layer to create a 3D effect
