I was recently asked what the future of LBE is (in my eyes anyway). From my point of view, the future is Complete Immersion. Current and future guests are no longer satisfied with a 180 degree point of view. This applies to everything from theme park attractions to museum installations.
Immersing your guests into a complete world where every angle reveals something new is what we should strive for. Using old schools trickery and modern tech means don’t have to be limited by financial constraints to immerse your guests. Yes, the highest rated projection mapping is incredible but not always necessary. Building a world for guests to enter can be as easy as theming a space in 360 degrees or as advanced as a Team Planet installation. The only thing truly limiting us is a proper Story and stretching our capabilities from a “We can’t do that because…” mentality to ” Can we do that with..?” Mindset.
